We are seeking a qualified Building Surveyor with some experience working in this space and able to support the technical and administration teams in assessing, approving and reviewing building works.

Responsibilities

Building Surveying Key Responsibilities include:

  • Undertake assessments for the purpose of providing CLC’s and CSC’s as allocated by the Business Manager.
  • Peer review, sign and certify CLC’s and CSC’s in a timely manner as requested by the Business Manager.
  • Provide technical support to the Business Manager and Inspectors as required.
  • Comply with the requirements of the relevant Work Health and Safety legislation and the associated regulations, codes of practice, policies and procedures.
  • Any other reasonable duties, as requested, to help fulfil our vision, drive our mission and abide by our organisational values.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Workers must have or be willing to obtain the following:

  • Qualifications and Accreditation as a Building Surveyor - limited or unlimited however unlimited is preferred
  • White Card

Required Experience:

  • At least 3 years experience in a similar position.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of Building Acts and Regulations.
  • Highly organised with strong planning abilities.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective communication with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Physical fitness and strength.
  • Proficient time management skills.
  • Computer skills for proprietary software, record-keeping and documentation.
  • Ability to follow procedures and protocols while identifying and addressing gaps in processes and areas of risk.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with a commitment to fostering a positive work culture.
  • Problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in handling various tasks and situations.
  • Safety awareness and adherence to health and safety guidelines.
