Assurance HR Management is partnering with a well-established and highly respected manufacturing business to recruit an experienced General Manager.
This confidential opportunity is suited to an accomplished manufacturing leader who thrives on leading people, improving operations and driving commercial success.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across a busy manufacturing operation, overseeing production, engineering and workshop teams while positioning the business for continued growth.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be responsible for:
- Leading the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the business
- Driving operational excellence, productivity and continuous improvement
- Leading production, engineering and workshop teams
- Managing budgets, profitability and commercial performance
- Building and mentoring high-performing leaders
- Developing business systems and operational efficiencies
- Strengthening customer and supplier relationships
- Identifying opportunities for business growth and expansion
- Championing workplace safety and a positive team culture.
About You
You’ll ideally bring:
- Extensive senior leadership experience within manufacturing
- Experience managing production and operational teams
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives
- Strategic thinking with a hands-on management style
- The ability to lead organisational growth and change
- Experience within switchboard or electrical manufacturing will be highly regarded.
