The Fair Work Commission has released a statement proposing to vary 80 modern awards to
- Provide up to 2 weeks unpaid leave for an employee who is required to self isolate, because of measures taken by Government or medical authorities in response to COVID-19
- Allow an employer and employee to agree for the employee to take double annual leave on half pay.
There are also other submissions being forwarded to the Commission but these are what’s tabled currently. We could see these be introduced as early as Wednesday.
